Communicating digitally comes in many formats. As educators, we presently use email most frequently to communicate, but a host of emerging technologies are being created to help our collaborative efforts. The Florida Digital Educators will pioneer appropriate and efficient tools to increase student learning environments. A few of the tools to use are:
Today was my favorite day of our tech conference. I found del.icio.us, blogger, and pbwiki very useful and applicable for my use. I will be using them frequently in the weeks and months ahead. Thank you Karen and Margie!

I learned today how powerful the pbwiki is. It is great for any group settings.
I had lots of fun today. I am so excited about trying to use some of these technologies in my classes. I think the students will be so thrilled with being able to publish to the web.
I loved creating the wiki. Now if I only remember how to do it at home.

The wiki was a nice way to incorporate the learning we did over the course of the year into one big collaborative project. The links are practical... helpful.. and pretty nifty. blogger is cool.

Hello,
I am so very happy that i signed up last summer for these classes> In no way did I know the capabilities of technolgoy in the classroom. I have learned so much, and used so much already this year with my 6th grade. i am a better teacher for it and my students are much happier learning with the new "stuff" I bring to them each time.
Thanks to karen andMargie for putting this together and I reccommed this to all teachers!
Today was quite interesting. I was troubled, but we worked through it all. I hope I can remember how to use this in the classroom. Thank you for all of the patience and lessons. You have opened my eyes to many new technology ideas.

Today was a very helpful day. I learned a lot of basics that I can take back to my classroom. I think it would be very exciting to set up a blog site for my classroom. However, being a middle school teacher, I would be nervous about what kind of stuff the kids could put on the blogs. I would have to be monitoring the site very closely. It was also exciting to learn how to make a wiki. Hopefully I can put what I learned into practice in the near future!!
Wow! What a day! I'm so glad I have a weekend to play before showing my students some of the things I learned today. I really hope to use the wiki that I started today as my classroom wiki. Plus, the blogs are a tremendous tool for student and parent feedback. And del.icio.us was truly scrumptious! I have been wanting to have a place to keep my favorite web sites organized and this will be extremely helpful when "releasing" my students into a new project. I'll use this to guide them as to what sites they should use! A big thanks to Karen and Margie for another great day!

It was another challenging day! I want to go in and view the others' wikis and see how I can improve my own. Del.icio.us will be great, too!
